In a world valuing clarity and authenticity, finding a message that clicks with your audience can feel like looking for a needle in a haystack. This was my challenge a few months ago, as I struggled to align my message to attract the right clients. Today, I share how I used ChatGPT to define my brand message.

How Do You Define Brand Messaging?

Before we get into it, let’s clarify what I mean when I talk about brand messaging.

Brand messaging is the art of conveying your brand’s value proposition in a way that engages and resonates with your target audience. ChatGPT helped me refine this by generating slogan options and helping me articulate the frustrations I wanted to address and the solutions I could offer.

The Backstory

The turning point came when I engaged with ChatGPT, hoping to gain clarity and direction.

At that stage, I felt out of alignment with my chosen niche. My content wasn’t speaking to people because I had disconnected from the message. I felt frustrated with how spiritual people do business and this niche no longer felt like a fit. So I wanted to stop saying I offer tech tools for spiritual brands, but I wasn’t sure how to reposition this.

I was speaking with a friend when we were on a co-working date. We’ve been on a similar journey. I was talking about how I’m fed up with the lack of value placed on systems, strategy and structure. And the chaos that tends to come with these types of businesses. I still believe in spiritual messages, but I grew tired of working for almost nothing. I wanted to attract people who see the value in what I bring and are in a position to pay for it.

Gaining Clarity with ChatGPT

That night, feeling inspired by our conversation, I started talking with ChatGPT. I shared that I felt frustrated with my current results because something in my message wasn’t hitting. And I want to connect with innovative people because of my corporate background. I knew I could make a bigger impact there but wasn’t sure how to change my message for that niche.

The Wendy Rhodes GPT asked me questions, and soon we had a clear, impactful message that felt right. I talked about my frustrations with past clients and the ideal clients I wanted to attract. After a few messages, I got various slogan options. I adjusted them to make something that felt right for me.

Taking my original wording, the GPT then helped me to clearly define:

  • My bio to fit with the new direction
  • A detailed description of my ideal client
  • A content plan focusing on my key areas – Kajabi, automation systems and AI.

Through insightful questions and interactive dialogue, ChatGPT and I sculpted a new brand message that felt right. I transitioned from focusing on spiritual brands to targeting innovative clients who value my corporate background and expertise in systems and automation.

Furthermore, I devised a content plan centred around my strengths in Kajabi, automation systems, and AI, setting the stage for my next chapter.
