Why I Moved My Business From Kajabi to Ivorey
After seven years building courses, memberships, and client ecosystems in Kajabi, I finally made the decision to move platforms. Here’s why I left, what I struggled with, and why Ivorey became the all-in-one business platform for me.
My History With Kajabi
Anybody who has been following my journey for a while might’ve known I was a huuuuge Kajabi advocate.
I first started building in Kajabi in 2018 when I went through Digital Course Academy with Amy Porterfield.
I’ve run a variety of my own programs through there, it was the house of Tech Witch School, and I’ve built many client courses, memberships, apps etc. in there too. I was even highlighted as a Kajabi Expert within their internal community.
I was in the early stages of opening my Creatrix Coven community last year when I started to feel maybe Kajabi was no longer the platform for me.
I wanted to build the coven slowly, but the increasing costs to run Kajabi was making that difficult. And eventually I made the difficult decision to close everything and take a breather while I figured out my next moves.
I didn't want to just jump straight into another platform because I wasn't even sure if I wanted to keep running anything.
So that breather turned into a year of not having access to any of my content. Stripping back completely and wondering if I should just let it all dieeee.
I sat in uncertainty for an entire year. And at the final moment when I got an email from Kajabi telling me all my content was about to be deleted forever, I knew I couldn't just let it all go.
Years of my love and devotion poured into those creations. I had to at least see what might be worth reviving.
Why I Started Looking for a Kajabi Alternative
I thought about reinstating my Kajabi membership and opening up my offers again. The idea of moving everything elsewhere sounded like waaaayyy too big a job.
Even though I love doing it for other people, the thought of having to do it for 7 years worth of my own stuff was overwhelming.
But then I saw the new Kajabi pricing tiers, and how much they had taken out of their mid tier ranges, and I was a hard no.
Especially after some of the interactions I've had with their support team recently.
Then began the task of finding something that would actually be comparable. In all my years of working online nothing has ever come close for me and that's why I've always stayed true to my advocacy.
If it wasn't for the pricing, I wouldn't have even bothered looking. Go High Level was the only thing anyone else has spoken of that I ever thought might come close to meeting my needs, but it looked way too "hustle bro" culture for my likes and I never really wanted in. Plus everything looked so much uglier than Kajabi.
Why I Chose Ivorey
Untilllll I came across Ivorey... an Australian owned whitelabel of GHL.
It ticks all my boxes in terms of what it can do.
It’s made by women for women! And everything is sooo beautiful.

Plus I get to stand by one of my biggest values which is supporting local!! And they charge in AUD... which is honestly a dream cos everything adds up when you're paying in USD. And the real piece that sold me - One price forever for UNLIMITED everything!!!!!

The Features I Like Better in Ivorey
I can have multiple domains. Multiple websites. But why would you want that? Well... if you want your personal brand but also have a business like when I was running Tech Witch School... and with the new membership I'll soon be launching.. I always want to keep them separate. Personal brand for my done for you services, systems etc... Separate brand for my creative projects. I envision House of Creation becoming a whole thing and want that to be able to evolve on its own.
By using Ivorey, I can build both within the same platform. No separate logins. No need to pay for multiple subscriptions. All there, housed in one place.

The customisation I can do in terms of branding is soooo much better than Kajabi. I HATE that you still need to use coding to update your fonts in Kajabi... and you can't just have a blanket rule that applies across the entire site. So any time I'm making landing pages in there, I have to reapply the codes and go back to the main site settings to check I'm keeping the same parameters.
Plus, I'm working with a client in there now who needs much more technical automations. And the funnel capabilities are just nowhere near the level of what's possible in Ivorey. Had I known how good Ivorey was before I got started on her project, I would've suggested she move too.. it's definitely on the cards.
Then there's the support... oh my what a breath of fresh air to speak to humans that aren't just copy and pasting scripts. Even their Ivy bot is nicer to talk to than half of the Kajabi support people these days.
And this is just skimming the surface. Ivorey also has a full on CRM platform. You can send invoices and proposals. It has its own calendar booking system so if you're using things like Acuity or Calendly it removes that cost too.
Integrations and automations are far more seamless because you can genuinely build everything in ONE place. It reduces your monthly/annual costs for systems because you can pretty much get rid of everything else.
Whether you’re building courses, memberships, digital products, client portals, or multi-brand ecosystems, choosing the right platform matters more than most people realise.
Kajabi vs Ivorey: Final Comparison
Kajabi strengths
User friendly
Beautiful interface
Great for beginners
Solid course platform
Ivorey strengths
Better automations
More advanced funnels
CRM included
Multiple brands/websites
Lower long-term cost
Greater flexibility
It takes time and Ivorey is definitely a learning curve when it comes to the technical side of things. And for certain elements it does come down to user personality and preferences... but a few months in and I'm definitely happy to have moved. I know the clients I've moved there too are all feeling the same.
I Also Help With Platform Migrations
If you’re currently using Kajabi, ClickFunnels, Calendly, Acuity, ActiveCampaign, or multiple disconnected tools, platforms like Ivorey can dramatically simplify your tech stack while reducing monthly operational costs.
If you want to check Ivorey out, you can do so right here.
Anddddd... if this is something you've been considering maybe I can support you with the move. Migration projects are my DREAM! Yes I'm weird.
I build it all for you, and create SOP's as I go so you know how to maintain what I set up for you.
If you're not ready to make the move, but would like advice on what would suit your business best, I also offer Systems Diagnostic sessions where we run through your needs and I give you a gameplan for what's the best systems for you. This is the starting point for anyone who wants to work with me to ensure my services are the right fit.
