Your Fear of Failure is Holding You Back
The only way you are going to get ahead is if you stop being so caught up in yourself and quit your fear of failure. Nobody wants to see perfection, they want to see honesty, they want to see mistakes, then they know you’re real.
“Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.”
― Mahatma Gandhi
What is the number one reason most people don’t try new things. Because they’ve got a fear of failure.
They could be presented with any number of awesome opportunities in their lives and let them pass right by because they’re scared.
What if I fail?
So what?!
At least you won’t live with regret. At least you’ll know the outcome and won’t be left wondering about it for the rest of your life.
Isn’t looking back at something, having learnt a lesson, better than looking back going ‘I wish I had taken that chance’.
Don’t we regret things we didn’t do, more than things we have done. I’ve brought up this topic before but I feel so strongly about it I had to bring it up in a new perspective.
Instead of thinking, what if I fail?
Why not think…
How can I make this work?
What can I learn from this?
How will I feel if I don’t do this?
Just by changing the simple terminology you use when approaching a situation, could completely change your outlook and attitude.
And what if you don’t fail?
What if that opportunity is the best thing that has ever happened to you?
What if you fly? What if you soar? What if you get everything you ever wanted?
It’s the whole sliding doors concept. You could go on living as you are, comfortable, and content but not overly satisfied. Or you can take a chance and change your life forever.
And if you do fail, who cares. Turn it into a positive, learn from it, and move forward. The only way to move on is to move up and you can totally do that.
I believe in you. Do you.
Much Love
