A turning point for the better…

Sometimes in life you reach a crossroads. A turning point, and in that sliding doors moment you may have to make the biggest decision of your life. But when you make that split second decision to start changing, you realise everything is going to be ok.

You see I’ve always LOVED my job, however recently I’ve been finding myself a little lost. Everything has changed – management, market conditions (I work in finance), my team. Things I used to love have turned into things I really dislike. I find myself irritable and unmotivated. Suddenly I feel myself drowning and on the verge of a complete breakdown.

I was going about my normal life and then I woke up one morning and just couldn’t do it anymore.

Work was completely controlling every aspect of my life and I found I’d lost my balance. I had stopped going to the gym, was damaging my relationships with family and friends because I was always grumpy and I felt this sadness that I thought would never end. I ended up taking 3 weeks leave to relax and recharge.

During this time I spoke to a counsellor, signed up for a self belief intensive, eliminated all the clutter that was getting me down and really focused on myself. It was such a refreshing time and I found myself ready to go back to my daily life.

I’m back at work now and going through the motions, some days I feel good about my job, others I still dislike it – it’s the name of the game. I love the people I deal with on a daily basis but I hate the politics. Essentially I’ve still been feeling like there’s something missing.

I’m a dreamer and a true wanderlust. One of the main reasons I’ve always worked so hard is so I can afford to fund my lengthy holidays. I’ve done Europe, South America, New York, and parts of Asia, but rather than my list getting shorter, it just keeps growing.

Sometimes I feel like I’m running out of time to do all the things on my ever growing bucket list. But now I’ve found a way to combine my work with my travel. It will take time to get up and running but I’m so excited about this new journey and invite you to share the ride with me.

If you’re interested in finding out how I’m going to achieve this take a look here and you too can do the same!!!

Much Love

Jade xo
